Combining two loves...
Since I was more or less forced to retire by American society due to my age, I've decided to start a fishing blog, which I call The Old Man & The Seas (with a tip of the hat to Hemingway).
I caught my first fish when I was five years old. I was with my grandfather who knew everything about fishing. When he saw how excited I was about catching a little perch he started teaching me all about fish and fishing. That was over 60 years ago and everything he told me still holds true. I often find myself fishing on a boat, pier, or shore catching fish one after another while people standing close by are catching nothing. When they ask me how I do it, I show them how my grandfather taught me since there are no jealousies between most fishermen.
In my blog, I cover three areas:
- I tell of fishing outings that I go on
- I share my grandfather's wisdom
- I share memories of past fishing adventures
Even if you do not fish, I think you will enjoy this blog.
